Chapter 2 – Conversion

“The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me.” Ps. 50:23

1. How can you know that you are one of those whom God is rejoicing over to do them good? List 3 scriptures to support your answer.

2. List the 6 truths of “our need and God’s provision”. Share a highlight from each of the 6 that challenged you and tell why it challenged you.

3. What is the essence of sin that makes steps 1 and 2 so important to make plain first? What are the consequences of sin?

4. The foundation of the gospel is found in Romans 3: 25-26. Answer the following questions on this text:

~What happened that made it necessary for God’s righteousness to be demonstrated?

~How do you define God’s righteousness so as to make it clear why it needed to be vindicated?

~Why does the blood of Christ vindicate the righteousness of God? (Hint: see John 17:4, 12:27

~Why does your own hope depend on God’s vindicating His righteousness?

5. What does it mean when we say, “Become a Christian Hedonist”?

6. Share a point out of the section, “The Creation of a New Taste” that impacted you and tell why.
